Has Newt Noticed He Lost Tonight?

If nothing else, Newt Gingrich is demonstrating that no matter how mean, nasty, dishonest and just plain evil a candidate is, he can always manage to attract some followers. Not people I would want to meet, but I'm just sayin'.....How vile must his followers be to support him?

After listening to his "concession" speech tonight, I won't be surprised when he converts to Judaism. Why not? Its the only one he hasn't tried.  If he thought he could get the Mormon vote, he'd try that one on for size.

Years ago, there was a very small, dumpling of a man who traveled from college campus to college campus, calling himself The King of the World. He had a full head of silver hair and strode back and forth across the stage on his chubby little legs and spoke about grandiose ideas. At first the crowd tittered and laughed, and then it just became uncomfortable, so they booed him off the stage.

That is who Newt reminds me of. He rants and raves and brags about all the grandiose things he will do as President. In the end, though, he, like the King of the World,  will prove to be a pompous, delusional, pathetic little phony, and it is to be hoped that the Republicans will effectively boo him off the national stage.

Stay tuned.

Oh how I agree with you on this one! Newt is an educated ignorant man. He doesn't have sense enough to know he's lost. Furthermore, when the republicans finally do choose Mitt, Newt will have been so nasty to Mitt that there's no way he could endorse him as a fellow Republican with any credibility.

I will vote for Obama again. At least that man has a brain and he, at least, doesn't take it out and play with it.

We can choose to be Sanitized,
Pauled to death,
Wrenched into whip lash,
Or get two black eyes from leather, fur lined, diamond studded Mitts!

It hit while listening to a radio program yesterday that there actually ARE those who support Newt. I was stunned...especially since the reasoning was we need someone unafraid of telling the truth. Is the sky no longer blue and only a pathetic band of a few of us haven't noticed??

He made it into the British press with ... "No Newt is good Newt".

I wouldn't say it is over yet (much to my dismay). There are still 46 states to go, and he just needs some South Carolina-esque momentum going into Super Tuesday.

Rick Santorum is the big question. If he drops out (as he should, to be with his hospitalized and dying daughter) the conservatives will coalace around Newt and it might get interesting again.

Whoever wins, I hope Paul runs against them as a 3rd party.

I am not impressed with any of the candidates, but I especially don't like Newt. I am all for letting him go on to the moon. What an idiot!
