More of Nothing

I guess you heard that the House bill extending the unemployment benefits didn't pass. Bush promised to veto it, anyway. 'Way to keep the working man down!

The Supreme Court restored Habeas Corpus, in spite of Alito, Scalia, Thomas and Roberts. Some detainees have been held for 6 years without recourse. Habeas Corpus is a constitutional guarantee which allows courts to determine whether a prisoner is being detained illegally.

Let's hear it for the Supremes!

Did you hear about Bobby Jindal, Governor of Louisiana? In an essay in the Oxford Review, he described a personal encounter with a demon, in which he participated in an exorcism with a group of college friends. He stated that not only did they cast out the supernatural spirit that had possessed his friend, Jindal wrote that he believes that they may also have cured her cancer. Wow!

I guess he's off the short list for Veep, huh?

In show biz - Daniel Craig sustained an injury making the latest Bond movie. The tip of one of his fingers was sliced off during filming of an action sequence. Ouch!

It's not the first time he's been injured. In the last movie, he cut his face, requiring stitches. Oh, no! Not that purty face!

If you want the truth about Barack Obama, you can go to his new website, http://www.fightthesmears.com/, which debunks false rumors.

I plan to send it as a group reply to all those former coworkers who are continually sending me e-mails with bogus claims about him. Every single time I get one from them.

In Italy, there be Unicorns! Well, maybe not. But a one-horn deer was discovered in Italy. There were pictures of it in the papers.

Personally, I choose to believe it is a modern day Unicorn.

Stay tuned.

Every time I see that Jindal guy I think "man, there's something really creepy about him, but I don't know what it is."

Well, now I do know. Performing an Exorcism? Yeah, that's freaking creepy.

The scar on Daniel Craig's face just makes him more bad-ass.

Hmm, an updated unicorn? Something about unicorns this week as Raven also posted about them too.

I actually haven't seen the Daniel Craig Bond movie-my friend lent it to me last week, so I am hoping to watch it this weekend.

Hi Betty
So many of us bloggers have posted about the unicorn.

Hi Betty I too have gotten those creepy emails about Obama and I am glad he has a web site now to debunk them. Just wait until closer to November and watch all the crazy stuff that comes out of the woodwork.

As for Bobby Jindal, I think he should remain on the Veep short list. Maybe he can use his powers to jazz up Mccain :)

the court surprised me. For the life of me I don't know what they will do with these men, you know they have been treated awful for years.
I hope they don't move in near me when they get out.
talk about terrorist they will be now if they were not before.
I do agree they have the right to a day in court but holy cow watch out when they get thier freedom.

I put the wrong URL in, but if you click on my name in the comment above, it links to a blog who's owner worked with Tim Russert. I was sending it to Shaun as I thought it was a great story.
