Gone, Baby, Gone

Photobucket

Bored, baby, bored. Ye Gods, what a predictable movie. I had the "mystery" solved within the first fifteen minutes, and I wasn't trying.

How disappointing. I just love Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman. If I'm not particularly liking a movie, they can usually save it for me. But, not this one. No. Nothing could have saved this movie. Not even a shirtless Paul Newman in his younger days.

You can always tell how bad a movie is by the number of "F" words that are scattered around, and this one outdid itself, made worse by thick Boston accents. Not since Goodwill Hunting have my virgin ears been assaulted by so much filth. Is it a coincidence that both movies were connected to Ben Affleck? I think not. Sometimes, a well-placed "FUCK!" is good for emphasis and clears the sinuses. But, writers with good vocabularies can find expletives that express their feelings in better ways, and provide variety to the dialogue.

This was supposed to the a breakout film for Ben Affleck's much better looking and more talented little brother, Casey. I'd call it more of a breakdown. Maybe his next movie will be better. Maybe he should seek out another mentor.

There's one thing I do know. Ben Affleck is no better as a writer/director than he is an actor. And, whatever he had on Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris to make them apear in this stinker, they should be even-steven, now.

That's all I have to say about this one.

I agree about the media calling for Hillary to drop out and saying the democrate party will be ruined if she stay in. I think they are all republincans and just hope we will lose. I hadn't noticed Kieth Oberman being sexist but I have stopped watching him because of the Advertisements are so many.I would rather watch O'Relly at least he has more talk even if it is bais for bush. to bad you got a dud on the movie but most movies are that way I think.

I'm sorry to hear this -- Morgan Freeman is so classy and a fav of mine. I'll probably see it eventually but doubt it will be soon.
