99 things that you may not know about me. I know, there are 100 questions, but I refuse to answer something as silly as “Who is your cell phone provider? Pbbbffffffffft!

1) Are you in a complicated relationship?
Yes, with myself. I blame my horoscope. I’m an Aries woman, which is bad enough, but then, I have a Libra moon sign and a Scorpio ascendant. It’s like “The Three Faces of Eve”.

2) Do you hate more than 3 people?:
Not at the moment, but anything can turn me.

3) How many houses have you lived in?
Let’s see, two as a child in Little Rock, then various slum-type apartments in Fayetteville, three in Yellville, and three houses and an apartment in Harrison.

4) Favorite candy bar?
Snickers

5.) Do you dream in color?
Sometimes.

6) Have you ever tripped someone?
Yes. And, laughed and laughed and laughed.

7) Least favorite school subject?
Any science or math course.

8) How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Oh, I think about four. You can only wear one pair at a time, you know.

9) Do you own a Britney Spears CD?:
No! But, I have a few questions I’d like to ask her mother.

10) Have you ever thrown up in public?:
No.

11) Name one thing that is always on your mind:
My kids. Worra, worra, worra.

12) Favorite genre of music?:
Pop, classical, some country. Not much country, but some. Garth Brooks, for instance.

13) What is your zodiac sign?:
Aries.

14) What time were you born?:
9:07 a.m. on an Easter morning. My parents had to fight everybody to keep from naming me “Bunny”. Thank yew very much, mother and daddy.

15) Do you like beer?
Yes, especially in the hottest part of the summer. Budweiser and Stella Artois.

16) Have you made a prank phone call?:
No.

17) What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
If you ask my kids, it would probably be my Barry Manilow CDs. What can I tell you? I’m a “Fanilow”.

18) Are you sarcastic?
No-ho-ho-ho-ho, not a bit. Just ask anybody.

19) What is your favorite color?
I love red.

20) How many watches do you own?
Two, and I don’t wear either one of them.

21) Summer or winter?
Winter. But, no ice, please.

22) Is anyone in love with you?
Too many to count.

23) Favorite color to wear?
Black, brown or navy, with some red mixed in.

24) Pepsi or Sprite?
Diet Pepsi. With or without the bourbon.

25) Have you ever walked across a frozen lake?
No. And, I'm not going to start now.

26) Where is your second home?
In my mind. I have a fertile imagination.

27) Have you ever slapped someone?
Yes, and then I felt guilty about it.

28) What kind of animal would you be?
A cute, fluffy little dog, and I'd like to be owned by Kell.

29) How many lamps are in your bedroom?:
None. Just an overhead light. I never read or watch tv. In bed.

30) How many video games do you own?:
None.

31) What was your first pet?:
A dachsund (sp?) named Sluggo.

32) Ever had braces?
No, but I probably should have.

33) Do looks matter?:
Depends. How’s that for a definitive answer?

34) Do you use chapstick?:
No.

35) Name 3 teachers from high school:
Mrs. Stalnaker, English, Miss Middlebrook, Journalism, and I can’t think of another one at the moment. My favorite teacher, though, was in Jr. High. Her name was Mrs. Walls. She was a fine teacher.

36) American Eagle or Abercrombie?:
Say what? Is one of them an airline?

37) Are you too forgiving?:
Some people think so, but it’s not so. I keep my resentments to myself, usually.

38) How many children do you want?
No more! No more! Been there, done that! Move along.

39) Do you own something from Hot Topic?:
The only Hot Topic I know about is from “The View”.

40) Favorite breakfast meal?
Fried eggs, over easy, bacon, toast and hash browns. Aaaaaaaaaah. A cholesterol bomb on a plate. But, I usually have a bowl of cereal.

41) Do you own a gun?:
No. No guns. Not now, not ever.

42) Ever "thought" you were in love?:
Yes. My teen years were filled with unrequited loves.

43) When was the last time you cried?
When my grandpuppy died.

44) What did you do three nights ago?:
Listen, I’m old. I can’t remember this morning, let alone three nights ago.

45) Olive Garden?
Every now and then. I love their salad and bread sticks and spinach-artichoke dip.

46) Have you ever called your teacher 'mommy'?
No. I could always tell the difference between my mother and my teachers.

47) Have you ever been in a castle?:
Yes. In Britain.

48) Nicknames?
When my mother was feeling particularly fond of me, or, more likely, manipulative, she called me “Betsy-Anna”. “Betsy-Anna, would you go and dust the living room? Bring in the clothes from the clothesline? Please clean your room?” Lord, I hated that nickname.

49) Do you know anyone named Bertha?
No. Where do these questions come from?

50) Ever been to Kentucky?:
Yes. And, I’ve seen Daniel Boone and Mrs. Daniel Boone’s graves. So there.

51) Do you own something from Banana Republic?:
No, I hardly ever shop at home. Oh, you mean the STORE named Banana Republic! It’s still no.

52) Are you thinking about somebody right now?
Yes, my mother, thanks to that “nickname” question.

53) Ever called somebody 'boo'?
No, but I saw Boo Radley in the movie, “To Kill A Mockingbird”.

54) Do you smoke?
No. But, I used to. Nasty habit. Nasty.

55) Do you drink?
On occasion, I do love a Manhattan, straight up. Mostly, though, I stick to water, orange juice and Diet Pepsi.

56) Are you happy with your life right now?
Relatively speaking, yes. Of course, I’d like to win the PowerBall. That would make me REALLY happy. I never believe those people who whine that willing millions ruined their lives. O-o-o-o-o-o-o let me try, let me try!

57) Do you like your hair?:
No. I don’t mind being gray, but it has thinned with age and lost its curl. Blah.

58) Does anyone have a crush on you?
Dozens and dozens. So many men, so little time.

59) What were you doing in May of 1994?
Wasting away in Harrison, overworked and underpaid. As always.

60) Do you roller blade?
No, but when I am old enough to need a Hoverround, I might pop a few wheelies for ya.

61) Do you own a Backstreet Boys CD?:
No.

62) McDonalds or Wendys?
Wendy’s.

63) Do you find yourself attractive?:
When I happen to see myself in a mirror, I am reminded of the quote,”You are old, Father William, and your hair is turning gray.” Sometimes I stand in front of a full length mirror until tears well up, and I decide to try one more diet.

Which reminds me of Gunther, the pool boy at the country club years ago. He told me that every morning, he stood naked in front of a full length mirror and said to his reflection, “Gunther, don’t you ever die!” Funny, I thought the same thing every time I saw him at the pool. Yowza!

64) Are you closer to your mother or father?:
Both parents are dead, but I was closer to my father. He died when I was 17.

65) Favorite physical feature of the preferred sex?:
Male. I notice his height (I like tall men), then the eyes, and there’s something to be said for a strong back and a weak mind.

66) Are you afraid of the dark?:
No, I’m never in the dark. I keep night lights glowing.

67) Have you ever eaten paste?
No. And I’ve never sniffed glue.

68) Do you own a webcam?:
No.

69) Have you ever stripped?
In a club, you mean? Certainly not (she huffed).

70) Ever broken a bone?:
No. But, I have broken numerous wish bones.

71) Are you religious?
Yes, but not in the sense that I’m in church every time the doors open. I believe in God, though, and have been known to speak to her on occasion.

72) Have you ever had a kiss so good you really did see stars and hear music?
I hear music, but there's no one there -- no, but I've heard a giant sucking sound on occasion.

73) Pringles or Lays?:
Cheetos.

74) Have you ever broken someone’s heart?:
Yes. My past is simply littered with broken hearts.

75) Do you like to go fishing?
Yes, if you'll steer the boat, bait my hook, take the fish off the hook, clean it, gut it and cook it.

76) Full House or The Brady Bunch?:
Brady Bunch.

77) Did you like your high school guidance counselor?
I don’t think I had a guidance counseler. When I was in high school, I wasn’t in the mood to take advice from anybody.

78) Has anyone ever called you a tease?
No. I flirt. I never tease. And, I know the difference.

79) Do you have a birth mark?
I have a mark on my side that is either a birth mark or a scar from when my mother pinned my diaper to me and then wondered why I wouldn’t stop squalling.

80) Do you work?:
I work hard at being retired.

81) Can you cook?:
I can, but I don’t much like to.

82) Four things that annoy you:
People in general.
Undisciplined children.
Undisciplined pets.
All those smarmy feel-good e-mails I get from people.

83) Do you text message often?:
No. Not even occasionally.

84) Money or love?
You can buy lots of things to love with money.

85) Do you have any scars?
Yes, on the inside. Doesn’t everybody?

86) What do you want more than anything right now?:
Lunch.

87) Do you enjoy scary movies?
Yes, Jaws, Jurassic Park, The Poseidon Adventure, etc. But, not “horror” movies, i.e. anything by Stephen King.

88) Relationships or one night stands?:
Well, hello, sailor. Come alongside. Relationships haven’t worked well for me.

89) Big Red or Juicy Fruit?
Neither. I’m not a gum-chewer.

90) Do you enjoy greasy food?
No more than any other southern woman.

91) Have you seen all the Rocky movies?:
Yes. And, there will be yet another one out soon.

92) Do you own a box of crayons?
No, but I have some watercolor paints.

93) What do you like in your sandwich?
Pastrami, swiss cheese, pickles, tomatoes and mayo on Rye or Pumpernickel bread.

94) Who was the last person you said 'I love you' to?
Actually, I think it was Kell. But, I love you, too, Jay.

95) Who was the last person that made you mad?
Probably my friend M.E. She drives me crazy sometimes, but, then, she’s getting old, poor dear.

96) Who was the last person that made you cry?:
One of my bosses made me cry once, because he was such an SOB. I cried out of frustration. But, ordinarily, people don’t make me cry.

97) Who was the last person that made you laugh?:
Jay. He keeps me in stitches most of the time.

98) Who was the last person to text you?
Didn’t I just say I didn’t do text messages? Pay attention!

99) Who was the last person that called you?
I suppose it was M.E., the old dear.
