1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?
Egg Nog. With a sprinkle of nutmeg, and no liquor.
2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
For a long time, when the kids were little, I was able to get away with the excuse that Santa just doesn’t have time to wrap presents. I wrapped a couple of presents that were from Mama and Daddy, but otherwise, the presents weren’t wrapped. Then, when Kelley was about 4 and Jay was 2, they discovered that Santa wrapped all the presents of their friends. Busted!
3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored. I also like a real tree, but you can’t always have what you like, so my tree is fake and prelit with white lights. But, that’s ok. It’s no trouble that way.
4. Do you hang mistletoe?
No. There is a lot of mistletoe in the tops of trees around here, but you need a shotgun to get it out, and that’s too much effort. With my luck, I’d shoot my foot off, anyway.
5. When do you put up your decorations ?
Whenever Jay gets around to it.
6. What is your favorite holiday dish (excluding dessert)?
Roast Beast, mashed potatoes, asparagus casserole, rolls, etc. And a nice Columbia Crest or Geyser Peak Merlot.
7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
Getting up early Christmas morning, opening presents and dashing out to visit my father’s cousins, who always had open houses on Christmas Day. We got home late at night, worn out, but loaded down with even more presents.
8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
Bite your tongue. My kids are reading this.
9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
I used to, when I was a child. At least one – more if I could talk Daddy into it. And, I could always talk him into it.
10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
With a variety of decorations, balls, bows, hand-painted and store-bought.
11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
Love it if I don’t have to get out in it, and if there’s not a lot of ice with it.
12. Can you ice skate?
No.
13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
Books, books, books.
14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
The Christmas shows on TV, and listening to Christmas music. Being with family. Remembering the reason for the season.
15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Pecan Pie.
16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Driving around the square, looking at all the lights, then going through all the neighborhoods and seeing the decorations.
17. What tops your tree?
An Angel.
18. Which do you prefer giving or Receiving presents?
I love to give presents, when I know what everyone wants, and if I can afford them.
19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
“The Christmas Song”, Mel Torme. “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire………”
20. Candy Canes Yuck or Yum?
Yummy!

I LOVE asparagus casserole. Mmmm. My favorite holiday tradition is driving around and looking at all the lights too. Last year I drove around 4 different neighborhoods and only saw 3 houses lit up. I think the grinch lives in my town.
I'm a hot cocoa person Betty...mmmm. Loved this meme...and your answers.
#16: My best friend in high school and I used to drive for hours to look at lights. And in New Jersey that means you could almost see the entire stete in a few nights.
