No Ideas

Well, I simply have run out of things to say.  I can't even work up a good rant because I'm so disgusted with politicians and the voters who put them there.  I was going to talk about the reported 58% of veterans who say they will vote for Romney.  Even though Romney has promised to cut veterans' benefits.  That is just the last straw for me.  It seems a majority of seniors have gone senile, and are willing to see their Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid disappear.  And the young people are no more interested in politics than they have ever been.

So, I give up.

I have decided to go on extended hiatus, until September.  I will still be reading and commenting on your blogs. And, I really appreciate all of you who have stuck with me all this time.  Some of you have been reading and commenting since I first started blogging six years ago.

Maybe it's just that I'm hot and cranky,  but every time I try to write a blog post, I get just so far and then give up.  So, it's time to take a long break.

See you in September.

Well when you can't work up a rant about a politician OR the voting public. it says something not too good about the state of things. Enjoy a break.

Sometimes we just have to rest. Have a good time and try not to let politics enter your mind for a while. It's the only way to stay sane, I think.

Hope you are just hot and cranky and that the rains have cooled you off. Come back when you are ready but come back.

Now, you just will not be able to stay away. Something will happen and set you off...like a firecraker...well, I hope it does!

Maybe I am un-American but politics….does it/they really warrant my attention? The sound bites are all designed to make me either angry or afraid…neither do me any good. In the end I feel insulted.
I hope you have a nice time off. I will see you when you return.

Enjoy staying cool. With my heart condition, I found out getting hot under the collar over politics, or getting physically overheated from the temperature --neither do my heart a favor. I am tryig to stay cool while I seek some solutions to try, and thank goodness, despite all the cries of poor medicine, there are some very good options, and very good physicians, even in Arkansas.

Amen to that bumpersticker, Betty.

I don't comment often - but I agree with you and have the same problem lately. I end up feeling so negative and so I stay away from writing much.

Enjoy your break!

Me, too Betty, as you saw on my blog about a month ago, I threw in the towel.. I was so sick and tired of the hatefulness of the election this time.. I am not talking about just the candidates, but people who are suppose to be my friends, because I won't agree with them. Or they send me "informational emails" that are so hateful, and down right nasty.
So I gave up blogging on politics.. I suppose it is boring now. but i am happier. So take your time.. enjoy it... read you in Sept. Oh, just because I am not blogging about it, doesn't mean I give up on voting.. NEVER THAT!.
So enjoy..

I am with you. There is so much wrong to write about that I don't know where to begin so I just end up feeling depressed about it all. I don't post often now and have stopped reading every political diatribe that arrives in my in-box.

I keep wanting to quit, so I fully understand where you are coming from.

I feel your pain. I'm being a half-assed blogger of late as I'm fighting the good fight for Obama's re-election. I need my SS & Medicare to survive and realize that neither is a gift from the Tooth Fairy. :)

I, for one, will miss your wit and wisdom and I hope you'll pop by and say "hi!" once in a while so I know you're still around!!!!
