Another New Stove, etc.

Last Friday, maintenance showed up at my door with yet another new stove, and this time, it was the right model. What a relief. The hulking, white, behemoth is gone. No longer do I have the feeling that there is something huge looming over me as I try to read or watch television. I can stop searching the apartment rentals in the paper. The manager didn't ignore me, he did hear my pleas, he just didn't feel the need to let me know he had ordered the replacement.

Isn't that just like a man?

Note to bloggers who subscribe to "word verification": You know who you are. I will still be reading your blogs, but since Blogger has seen fit to make it almost impossible to comment, because of their new, ridiculous Word Verification,  you'll just have to take it on faith that I'm still reading.  Do we really need word verification?  We already have the ability to delete any comment we don't like. There is also a way to see comments and accept or reject them before they appear in the comments section. And, there is e-mail notification plus a spam filter.  What more do we need? You can turn it off the same way you turned it on.

Senator Sanctimonious (Santorum) has resorted to using the Republican code words that are always uttered when they want you to know they don't believe something that is clearly true about an opponent.  For instance, "The President SAYS he was born in Hawaii, I take him at his word." Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, smirk". Now, it's "The President SAYS he's a Christian and I take him at his word. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, smirk".

Rick Santorum SAYS he's a human being, and I take him at his word.  Wink, wink, nudge, nudge, Smirk.

I read this on a blog called Juanita Jean's and I just had to tell you about it.  It said, "A group of Texas Aggies planned to protest Obamacare at  Nancy Pelosi's visit for a President's Day speech.  I wonder if they kow that Obamacare allows their parents to keep them on their health insurance policies while they're in college?"

And, we wonder why there are so many Aggie jokes.

Yawn. Another CNN Republican debate tomorrow night. Yadda, yadda, yadda, Religion, yadda, yadda, yadda reproductive rights, yadda, yadda, yadda, nothing substantive. Nobody likes Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum isn't electable, Ron Paul is batshit crazy.  What else is new?

Stay tuned.

I am glad you got the right stove--that other one just was not acceptable. I think every one hates the two word verification. Who ever thought that this was a good idea should be pilloried on the town square.

I have been having a very difficult time with commenting on Blogger sites. The site doesn't acknowledge the word verification. My previous comments were under Open ID. Now it doesn't work, and I have to comment with a google account.
You know me as alwaysinthebackrow. I think it is a google conspiracy.

About the stove...hooray! That one looks like it belongs in your apartment.

About politics....the Republicans simply do not have a viable candidate.

So glad you got the right stove. That had to be annoying. Renting looks even better.
At first I hated the new word vert and would get rejected several times. Now I seem to be actually interpreting what is printed and I give my self a high five each time I only have to hit publish once. Kind of an annoying game I could do without, but still a game.

I can't believe it. I thought you were stuck with that stove. Girl you must have power in your voice.

Now cook something and show us how it does.

Glad the stove arrived and I just removed the "Word Verification" from my blog after a note about it by Napples Note alerted me to the change in difficulty.

Also I had to type in one 3x before getting it right, just before reading NAPPLE NOTE's blog.
