Fifty years ago, as I went from classroom to classroom during my school day at Little Rock Central High, if anyone had told me that I would live to see a black man elected President, I would have said, "I hope you're right, but I don't believe it."
But, I have lived to see it. And, I'm glad.

I was just a junior high school kid in an all white suburb in Ohio when that happened and argued with my dad about it even though I had never met a black person in my life. Somehow I knew what was happening in Arkansas was wrong despite my upbringing. I am delighted --especially after his speech that I chose to vote for Barack Obama. His speech gave me "The Audacity of Hope" for all of us.

I am so glad too, I have watched this from Down Under, and it is the change the World needed, let's hope his words ring true..we need a World leader who does what he promises, and looks to the young ones as inspiration for a new future too :)

I watched every moment of this historic night and his historic speech with tears in my eyes and hope in my heart. Barack Obama is an inspiration to behold and I believe a man of his word....and he is the man that we need. He is meant to be here...something I've felt from the beginning of this journey.
It is truly amazing! I am glad I lived long enough to see it.
I am so glad that Barack Obama won this election. He will need all our prayers as he faces the difficult tasks ahead of him.
Bush is leaving such a mess.
