The Many Faces of Hillary

Hillary is beginning to get on my nerves. This late in the race, she seems to be trying on different personas. She reminds me of one of our local quick stops that advertises, "We'll treat you so many ways, you're bound to like one of them."

First, in the last debate, she was Lady Bountiful fawning over Obama almost to the point of being condescending. Everyone said, "Awwwwwwwww, how sweet and gracious she is."

A day later, she is standing on a stage with some unnamed guy behind her whose job is to nod his head sagely, while she scolds, "Shame on you Barack Obama!" Everyone said, "Wow, she's like the schoolmarm who is terribly disappointed in her hapless student."

Then, she's shown waving her arms around and weaving a fantasy about how everybody is going to get together, join hands and sing Kumbaya, and peace will break out over the land, nay, all over the world, and everything will be good. Nobody knows what to say about this performance.

And, there stands Obama, looking like someone who is watching a train wreck in slow motion. And, everybody says, "Oooooooooooo, he's unshakeable, so even-tempered!"

So, I can't wait to see tonight's debate. Wonder which Hillary will appear. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see her wringing her hands and opining that the media is being unfair to her.

Stay tuned.

At some point tonight I expect Hillary to pull a couple of steel balls out of her pocket and begin to roll them around in her hands while explaining ...

"Take this photo of Barack in full Muslim garb. Nothing wrong with that photo, we've all worn the local dress when visiting places. But, what does the media do? They blame me. Say I'm playing the race card. Say I'm playing on those "Obama is a Muslim" emails going around. But, did I send that photo out? No, I don't know anything about it. Did somebody on my staff? Well, many people on my staff are very disloyal and some might have defied my orders to stay positive and sent that out. I can hardly be held responsible for something done by a disloyal member of my staff."

That's what happens when the Golden Egg starts slipping out of your hands and you'll do anything to get a grip on it...

I almost feel sorry for her.

She has to try on all these personas until she finds the one which will get America behind her again.

The belittleing of the hope message was the final straw for me... If she somehow manages to wrange the nomination I will vote for john McCain or Ralph Nader just to spite her and tell my party exactly what I think of them... She knew what she was doing. She knows that Barack's book is titled The Audacity of Hope... Celesital choirs... GRRRRR - Made my blood boil.

Mark my words her political career outside of the state of NY is finished.

I completely agree Betty. Hillary's actions are starting to run amok. It's all in reaction to just plain 'running scared' and grasping at whatever she thinks will stop the bleeding. When, at this point, nothing will...and each new endeavor just backfires against her. It's sad to see...and must be devastating for her to experience. I'm not sure who Hillary is anymore...and I'm not sure she knows either.
