What Now?

So, I was watching the Nightly News , as I do every night, and there was a whole segment, with experts and all, explaining why being fat could be contagious. They did the whole thing without either of them cracking a smile, while I was falling out of my recliner, laughing at the silliness of it all.

That's what we need. Another reason to discriminate against fat people.

So, now we are sending arms to Saudi Arabia. Well, fine. Saudi Arabia has not given the U.S. even the smallest bit of support in anything, and yet, we are going to give them more arms. GIVE. As if they can't afford to pay for them. Not that I think we ought to offer to sell to them.

The Saudis are actually our enemies, folks. The 9/11 terrorists came from there for the most part.

Dick Cheney got another new heart yesterday. Oh, I know, I know, they keep calling it a replacement pacemaker. But, he has been getting new hearts every few years - because he was actually born without one. The one they implanted when he was an infant lasted for many years, until he started working for Halliburton. Then, he was under stress, so his ticker started acting up, and they had to replace it about every 5 years. Now, it's every 2 to 3 years, in case you haven't noticed.

Did you happen to catch the Russian women who took place in the 100 meter race in three-inch heels? It wasn't a pretty sight.

OK, I 'll stop the nonsense and move along to the award section of the blog. Recently, Jay bestowed a Creative Blogger award on his ever-lovin' mom and four or five other people. So, now, I get to give them to five people of my own choosing. And, I choose: (Drum roll, please)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Kell, of 'Tis Herself, who is beyond creative. She is interested in everything. And, good at everything she attempts.

Claude, at Blogging In Paris, who is an amazing photographer and tells you all about her photographs.

Gail, at Driving Chairman Bao, who writes the most interesting travel blog. She and her Shi Tzu, Chairman Bao travel all over the country - and Canada - and anywhere else they take a notion to go, and she blogs with great pictures.

Patsy, at My Life and Times, who will tell you everything you ever wanted to know about chickens, with pictures, and occasionaly lapses into a political rant or a story about growing up in rural Arkansas. She's a hoot.

And, I can't leave out Maya's Granny who comes to us from Alaska. She tells wonderful stories, which are written for her granddaughter, Maya, as well as some very intelligent political articles. She has had such an interesting life, you never know what she's going to tell you about.

If you want to give five people this award, or one of the other awards mentioned , go to the following website, and find out all about it. Good luck!

Betty,

Remember how we used to have to tear words apart in school and get down to the Latin roots to fully understand the meaning of the word?
How about the word "DEFIBROLATER"?
Do you think it means you can tell lies and get away with it and every once in a while it runs out of juice and you accidently begin telling the truth until you go into the hospital and get the FIB part restored?
I think the other day the VP called AG Gonzales a dim witted moron and that was it."Oh my God, he's telling the truth again. Rush him to Bethesda and get his deFIBrolater working. We can't have him telling it like it is. It goes against everything we stand for. HURRY!"

Betty, congratulations on your award. And thanks for bestowing it on me. I'm going to put it in my sidebar and find 5 people to give it to.

About the first item, that's good news! If being fat is contagious, then it's not my fault, if I'm fat! I must have contracted it from someone else! :))

Lay the blame on someone else! My idea of life!

Thanks for my award. I love nepotism. I'll post something some time this week.

Congratulations on your award. Thanks for mine. Like Claude, I've put it on my sidebar -- I love awards. I will bestow it on five as well, just need to figure out which five, since there are so many worthy bloggers out there.

So, from this I know that Chaney has a fib in his heart!

Well, I have been around fat folks all my life...so that is my problem.

I think Bush said the terrorist would attack so he is feeding them thus his story will play out true?

I read that Hillary and Barrack will team up. I did not think they would...but maybe they will.

I have read Brothers this week about RFK and JFK. the author said our freedom would end in the name of security. I think it will. We continue to say it is ok to take more of our freedoms. the book took the stand that the CIA killed both brothers and a guy named David Morales was in on both the shoots. He was a CIA agent.

I am reading a D. Walls book now about Turnbo stories of Nwest AR...it is so good.

Fall is around the corner and school. I am ready. Will be passing through your town tomorrow and trying to spot you on the harrison sq...I will yell hey, Betty and see who turns around.

No way. I have to practice walking in two inches. Did their legs break off?

cazzie: Well, it's either laugh or cry.

her indoors, patsy, claude: Doesn't it seem that it would work both ways, then? I have friends who are thin, but that doesn't seem to be contagious.

kell, maya's granny: It's hard to limit the number to five, isn't it?

sister-three: I love reading about the Kennedys, but I haven't read that one. Good luck with school this year.

nancy: Thanks for the tip. I'll go read grannymar's story.

tink: I know at least one of them fell, and I have a feeling she wasn't the only one.
