What Does It All Mean?

I had another strange dream last night. It wasn't a nightmare, but it wasn't a happy dream, either.

In this dream, I had decided to go back to college and finish my degree. This is not hard to understand, because I have always regretted leaving college in my senior year in order to get married. And, look how that turned out.

Anyway, back to the dream. I don't know which college it was, but my friend, L, was helping me get acclimated. We had to go to each professor's office to sign up for his/her class and obtain our books, so we used shopping carts (the type in Wal-Mart). Every class was on a different floor, so I had to get that shopping cart up and down the stairs. It even had that stubborn wheel that refused to turn with the other three - the one I always seem to get in the store.

The first professor looked and sounded eerily like a man I used to work with back in the day. Yikes! It WAS him! He was teaching a science course I needed to take in order to graduate. I didn't like the guy, but I was resigned to the idea that I had to take his class. He was overly enthusiastic and friendly, which made me even more uncomfortable and suspicious. He finally gave me my books, and off we went.

Next, was an English class. Now, that was more like it. How bad could it be? It was my major, after all. Seems my friend, L, knew this professor and liked her, even though nobody else did. I received dire warnings from other students that she was treacherous and just when you think you've aced a test, you find that she's flunked you. And, she loved doing it. She had me sign her roll sheet and told me she'd let me know later, if I was going to be admitted to her class. She did give me the books, though, and L said not to worry, she said that to all her students at first.

Finally, it was time to pay the piper. We got to the office, and the clerk added up the cost of my books and other supplies and I wrote a check and we were off, again. Seems I was sharing an apartment with L, and when I saw it, I knew it wasn't going to work out. It was tiny and only had one bedroom, and here I was with two little kids, and, WAIT A MINUTE, where did those kids come from?

Then, I woke up.

Betty,
I have had some weird dreams in my life and trying to make sense of them just gives me a headache! They usually have something to do with a struggle of some sort. I have enough struggles when I am awake to worry about the dream ones! LOLOL hugsssssssssssss

Kell: For some reason, when I dream about you and Jay, you're usually very young. Why is that?

It's not too late, Betty. And it wouldn't even cost you much at all to go back to school now. The state universities allow Arkansans 60 and older free tuition.

One more bonus, you wouldn't even have to find daycare for those two babies.

You were issued those two kids by the school. They come with the Home Economics class you're required to take. ;-)

Either that or they came with the Wal-Mart shopping cart.

Interesting dream. So logical except for the part about the kids:)

Jay: Home Economics class? Is that a commentary on my cooking?

Dreams are so weird!!!!! I never know what they mean and I honestly don't think they mean anything most of the time.
