Weekend Meme

I've been feeling guilty because I haven't blogged this week, even though I've been at home. It's just that I've been busy visiting with Kell and every single person I know between here and Little Rock. Whew! I'm tired. But, it has been fun. We have to take Kell to the airport in Little Rock tomorrow. Snif. She's going home. Snif.

So, I decided to do this little meme. Just to keep my hand in.

If I could, be Queen of the World, and damn it, the world needs one because, it's in one sorry mess, need I say
more?

I sometimes wish I were a writer, because it is/they are more like theme I want to be than the me that I am.

If you came over to my house to play and touched and messed up my West Wing dvd collection, I'd be a little bit mad at you forever.

The color/s Avocado Green makes me want to shave my eyeballs with acheese grater.

The color/s red and gold is/are so beautiful that when I see them, abeam of light comes down and I hear a choir sing.

Other people puking makes me gag, feel it in my mouth for a minute, andthen swallow it back down rather than spit it out (or else I just don't likeit, but I'm too nice to say it.)

I might get sick or die if I touch or ingest escargot, or look at calamari.

Listening to loud, nasal voices gives me the willies and I might need to consider afrontal lobotomy if I even think about it further.

I love the feel of silk so much I want to hump it like a puppy on a sofa pillow.

No one should have to watch me eat barbecued ribs, because then I might consider being polite enough to share, and I don't want to share it.

I'm a grown-up now, so I don't have to eat breakfast anymore, and you can't make me.

If I could invent a way to permanently coat my nostril hairs with this
scent, I'd be my own biggest customer: Alexander Julian perfume (although it has been discontinued. drat.)

Three things I like that anyone might like: puppies, Kell and Jay

Three things I like that nobody else in the world likes: rainy days, being snowed in and liver and onions.

I have TOO MANY/TOO MUCH OF books, and not enough time.

Okay, we know the best things in life aren't things, but these are the best
things in life if there are going to be best things: books

When people have kind, sweet and nice things about me, they're usually
talking about who they wish I'd be. When they say I'm too competitive, they're usually right, too.

It's true, I'm a news junkie. I'm learning to be proud of it.

If I could have any talent in the world, I'd choose music and use it to play the guitar.

You are given a day and a no-limit credit card to spend in one of
theseplaces, childfree. Choose one, or write your own: Barnes & Noble

If I could suggest that you read only one post from my archives, this one
would be it: Oh, I guess one of my "rants".

And, if I were to name the Holiday of my choice for this exchange, it would
be: Thanksgiving

It's nice to have you back again. I'll try to reciprocate, regardng your meme. Here's mine.
___________________________

If I could, be Queen of the World, I would encourage everyone to be kind to others.

If you came over to my house to play, we would listen to music and laugh about the ways of the world.

The color pink would make us laugh or gag, depending upon our mood at the time.

The color's red and gold would encourage us to make something our friends.

Other people puking would make us feel concern - what in the world have they been eating?

I might get sick or die - no, I'm just not going to think about it right now.

Listening to loud, nasal voices is one of the banes of life.

I love the feel of silk. And velvet.

No one should have to watch me eat barbecued ribs from Sims Barbecue in Little Rock - they are sooooooooo good. And it tastes so gooooooooood.

I'm a grown-up now, finally! I'm very happy about this fact.

If I could invent a way to permanently coat my nostril hairs with this scent, it would be vanilla. Yes, I know, I'm just like Granny on Beverly Hillbillies.

Three things I like that anyone might like: sunrises, sunsets, my child's face.

Three things I like that nobody else in the world likes: just like Betty I like rainy days, being snowed in and liver and onions.

I have TOO MANY/TOO MUCH OF STUFF, that I don't really need. I remember that Patsy's mother said "if you can't use in 30 minutes, get rid of it!" I'd like to be more like Patsy's mother.

Okay, we know the best things in life aren't things, but these are the best
things in life if there are going to be best things: good friends, warm beds, public radio and great fiction.

When people have kind, sweet and nice things to say about me, they're usually saying I'm sensitive, caring and kind.

It's true, I'm a news junkie. I'm trying to get over it.

If I could have any talent in the world, I'd choose to play the piano by ear and sing along.

You are given a day and a no-limit credit card to spend in one of
these places, childfree. Choose one, or write your own: Heifer International. I'd give gifts of self sustainment to women, especially, throughout the world.

If I could suggest that you read only one post from my archives, this one
would be it: Any of them, for I do love Little Rock and they're all about Little Rock.

And, if I were to name the Holiday of my choice for this exchange, it would
be: every day, for every day is a day to celebrate being alive and free to choose to enjoy life.

I am also a news junkie and also a political junkie.

Thanks for the comment on driftwood inspiration.

Ok, I found two links for your cologne, legit? don't know:

http://www.perfumecountry.com/ALEXANDER_JULIAN_WOMENSWEAR_p/alxandrjulianwomnswar-women.htm

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180036316198&category=11847

But you could also send a request to Vermont Country Store. They specialize in bringing back those dearly departed items. That's who brought back my Aunt's cologne that had disapeared in the 70's.

Ooooo. Thanks, Newt. Maybe I can find it, again. I'll try.
