Hiatus

It's time now for me to concentrate on my annual holiday depression, made worse by not being able to go to my daughter's for Thanksgiving.  By the end of each year, I realize I have run out of ideas, anyway, and wonder if my blog has, at last, jumped the shark.  And, this year, my depression (or laziness, as some would call it) is much worse, due to the coming election season, in which there will apparently not be anyone worth supporting in either party.  So, it's going to be a long, long year, and I'll need a month's rest to gear up for it.  Or, not.

In any case, I will be taking the month of December off, although I will be reading your blogs and, probably commenting now and then, so you won't forget me.

Before I sink slowly into the Slough of Despond, though, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. And, like Douglas McArthur, I shall return, or, more recently, Arnold Schwarzenegger, I'll be back.

Stay tuned.

Already looking forward to your return. Happy holidays and don' take the election too seriously, at least not yet. The Comedy of Errors perpetrated by the candidates is good for a few laughs (or yawns?) and great for the late night comedy crowd.

Have yourself a merry little...oh, screw it! Get through all the hoopla the best way you can and start fresh in January. We'll all be glad to see you when your hiatus is over.

I think at this time of year we all get a bit like that.

Xmas gets way too busy and all of the holidays means time to ourself.

I'll be taking four weeks off as well, leave in about a week and a half, take off half of december, half Jan, so I'll be back next year.

Just keep writing . . . even if you don't make the entries public.

I know I should follow my own bloody advice . . . I wrote absolute garbage today, but I have vowed to just keep on in there.

I am so sorry that you couldn't get to your daughter's this year and play with her dogs. It's tough all over!

Hang in there darling!

You may have noticed that I slowed way down on blogging weeks ago. I commiserate with you on needing to take a rest.

I spent Thanksgiving alone and will also be by myself for Christmas this year. It was my choice; I had two invitations out of state, but I just didn't feel like travel this year.

I will think of you and hope you have a very merry Christmas and we will meet again in January.

The sentance, "Before I sink slowly into the Slough of Despond, though, I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year" That was the peak of irony. Good one! You gave me a good laugh. I will be waiting with great expectation for you return. Best Wishes!

I,too, understand... bah,humbug... I don't know why, but it seems like that each year.. and Christmas becomes just another day.. Hate the commericalism of it. And blog wise, each year comes around and I wonder.. do I still have it in me... and it seems just when I kind of decide this is it.. some where, all kinds of stuff comes into my head and I am off blogging again.. but I have cut my days to Monday thru Thurs.
So my dear, you see by all of us.. you are not alone in your thoughts..
See you next year..
Merry Christmas, everyone...

BETTY, I was in the hospital for the first time since obama took office and the treatment I recieved was much better than what it was when the repubs were running things. I said it was obama care that made the difference. The care I recieved was much inproved than what I recieved when I was in the hospital before Obama. The hospital contacted home health and saw that I would have care when I went home. The hospital called and set up me an appointment with my doctor not leaving this to chance or what ever happens , happens. I told fleta that Obama care was the reason i had such good care while in the hospital and they tried to see that I had what i needed when I got home.
