marlu: Why, the Huckster's just a poor boy from Hope, Arkansas!
MerCyn: Funny thing is, when he was Governor of Arkansas, he did a pretty decent job. Then, he got a taste for the good life, and has never looked back.
Kay: Of course, it's ugly. Nobody ever accused the Huckabees of having good taste. lol
The fact is his daughter who is astute in campaign and was his best advisor in 2008 clear up to two men standing, is working for another GOP prospect.
I never begrudge, nor am I jealous of, anybody's success, be it TV personality, a mansion, nice clothes. I'll take his variety show, with or without the political aspect to half the crap I am exposed to on any TV or Cable station.
His band has played in my town. Although not my flavor of music, the group is not half bad.
Taste is a judgement call, and I try not to do too much of that, although I probably am subjected to a great deal of such judgement, as I have no interest in the best and latest clothes, houses, cars, yet I managed to win 3 terms as alderman. I did not change a thing about myself, and retired on my own terms.
I also live in a manufactured home . The citizenry of this town would burn them all down. I overcame that slur, also.
And I am not on Medicaid nor do I qualify for food stamps.
Janie B: And, they though Clinton was slick! Slick Willie can't hold a candle to the Huckster.
NitWit1: Didn't I read somewhere that his daughter is working on the Pawlenty campaign? I could be wrong, of course. I don't begrudge his success, but I do condemn his bigotry.
Dianne: I think your right. And, First Tomboy can be queen.
Darlene: I'm just glad I don't have to live in it.
This blog used to be called "Old Dog, New Trick", but it doesn't seem to fit, somehow. Oh, I'm still old, but I learned this new trick (blogging) years ago, so it's an old trick, now. Anyway, I love to read, watch movies, blog, travel whenever possible and gamble (slots). I tend to think everyone is entitled to my opionion, so you'll read a lot of that here. Feel free to disagree, nicely.

Good grief. Another mansion.
Do you think he also has a line of credit at Tiffany's? What is it with these guys...
Hmmmmmmmm . . . It's really rather ugly. Just my take.

Isn't that the truth, Kay!
Thank goodness he isn't running! He's so slick he can convince people to vote for him.

it looks half castle and half stately mansion
maybe he'd rather just be King
I'm with Kay; that is one ugly piece of architecture. It's a mish mash of styles and I think the architect was on something when he drew up the plans.
To say Huckabee has no taste is the understatement of the year.
Margie: Glad you agree.
