More Randomness

Mazda's Web

The Mazda 6 is being recalled because a yellow spider climbs into the vents and builds webs that could cause fires. Now, what is it about the Mazda 6 that attracts this sider?  What dos it have that other cars don't have?

It's a puzzlement.

The Lege Strikes Again

Whenever I read or hear a story about the Texas Legislature, I think, "Wouldn't Mollie Ivins have fun with this one?"

This time, they have decided they need to really crack down on illegal immigration, so they presented a bill with a stiff, $10,000 fine for anyone hiring illegals.  Then, at the very last minute before the vote, someone inserted a paragraph exempting people who hire domestics and yard workers. I guess life just wouldn't be worth living in Texas without a maid and yardman.

Texans. Gotta love 'em.

When We Don't Pay Teachers Enough........

Polics busted a prostitution ring in Springfield, MO last week and now, it seems that one of the women is a Springfield teacher.  Police believe that she and her husband are the ringleaders.

We should alert the teachers who are facing layoffs in Wisconsin that there may be job openings in Springfield.

Some Day He'll Be Struck By Lightening

Arkansas' erstwhile Governor, Mike Huckabee, is at it again. In order to appeal to the far right wing crazies and tea partiers, he keeps going on Fox News and making statements that he know simply aren't true.  This time, he stated, twice, that President Obama grew up in Kenya and then, when called on it, gave the usual explanation that Republicans have given. It goes, "I didn't say that. Or, if I did say it, you didn't hear it correctly. Or, If you heard it correctly, I just misspoke."

Seems to me that it would be a bit dangerous for an ordained minister, such as Mike Huckabee, to lie deliberately. Looks as though he would try to tell the truth at least every now and then.  I'm just sayin'.

Stay tuned.

My husband & I were talking about the Mazda thing this morning. What we would like to know is, What took them so long to do a recall & are the spiders & webs still there after all these years?

Love your teacher opening comment :) and yes, I agree, someone should tell the Wis. teachers there are openings (lol)

The Rep's sure are trying to cram the Kenya thing down our throats. They think if they say it enough times, people will believe it. What they don't seem to see is we are not that stupid. We know where Obama was born and it aint Kenya! (lol)

take care

Well, that's the nature of propaganda. If you say it enough, people will believe it.

I am still laughing about the "job openings in Springfield" for teachers.
Hadn't heard about the spiders. Going to check that one.

In Sept.08, we had spiders in our 2006 Honda Accord. My husband was recovering from a quadruple bypass, and the engine light kept coming on in the car. It took 4 trips to the dealer before they figured out the problem. They assured me they were not liable but were repairing it out of the goodness of their hearts. This wee was the first time I'd heard of this problem again. Mary

I guess I am living right. All I have found in my Toyota Hybrid SUV is a dead butterfly, which I placed in a recent post.

Whoever the Republicans pick for Prez, it will not be Huckabee, is my bet.

Otherwise, I won't comment futher on politic.
