R.I.P. Mr C.

Tom Bosley, who may be best known as Mr. C. on "Happy Days," died today of lung cancer.

I loved him in that show, but I also loved him in "Murder She Wrote," playing Amos Tucker, the Sheriff of Cabot Cove.

I never missed the "Father Dowling" series, either.

Back in 1960, he won a Best Supporting ActorTony Award for his appearance in "Fiorello!" and many other shows.   He will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of this. I really liked him best in the Cabot Cove setting. Always had a bit of a crush on him. Just Mr. Nice Guy.

I felt as if he always played someone very much like himself. Perhaps that is just good acting. He seemed like one of the good guys.
Sad to hear of his death.

Good post. I read in the paper that he had passed away and it made me sad.

I loved him as an actor. He made every part he played believeable. I loved everything he did & would watch anything if he was in it.

It is a huge loss to the entertainment world & those of us who enjoyed his acting

I love Murder, She Wrote, too. He was one of my favorite characters. He loved Jessica's pies! Really loved when his sister (played by Ann Meara) left her husband and moved to Cabot Cove. So funny!
