Politics As Usual In Arkansas

So, the Democratic establishment in Arkansas pulled one out for Blanche Lincoln. I can't say I'm surprised, but I do think they'll be sorry.

It was just like the good old days, to discover that there was apparently some hanky-panky in Garland County. Seems the election commission decided that they didn't need 40 polling places, so they opened only two. One of the places was in Hot Springs Village, behind the gates, so only residents were able to vote. That left only one polling place for the rest of the county. Garland County voted 70% for Halter in the primary. The head of the Election Commission resigned the day after the election.

President Obama and Bill Clinton both endorsed Blanche Lincoln, not that Obama's endorsement would have carried much weight, even among the Democrats in Arkansas. Shame on them, anyway.

Blogger is acting funny, and my keyboard is sticking, so I won't be blogging until both problems are fixed. It shouldn't take long.

Stay tuned.

I have been having trouble in Blogger for about a week but cannot pinpoint the problem. First photo loading is slow as molasses and seems to "hanng."

Partially composed posts disappear into outer space.

Comments never make it off the screen.

And I don't have a virus as my new program runs 24/7 instead of at appointed times.

I, too, sometimes have problems with Blogger but it somehow 'magically' clears up after a few days. Hopefully, yours will do the same.

Dirty politics in Arkansas? No! No! Say it ain't so. You'd think there would be a law against that...

Most of the time when I hear grumbling about unfair elections, I take it with a grain of salt. But this sounds pretty bad - unless of course, Garland County is less than 5 square miles and rural.

Is it just me or does it seem like politics keeps getting dirtier? Now electronic voting has given a new way to rig the elections. Sigh!
