The following is a short collection of headlines I thought were interesting, and I also thought they would provide a little relief from the constant politics, politics, politics. Hang in there, folks, it'll be over soon, and I can stop obsessing.
-----
So, here is what made me go, "Huh?" during the past week:
"A large study finds that pregnancy does not cloud the brain." Anybody knows that. Only years and years and years of child-rearing can do that.
-----
"Stem Cells from testicles an option to embryos." OK, but here's the rest of the story. Because of their source, their highest promise would only apply to men. It's always about HIM, isn't it?
-----
"Scientists have confirmed the second case of a virgin birth in a shark." I don't want to think too much about this.
-----
And, of local interest: "Four women were arrested in Branson, Missouri, in a prostitution sting." This news evidently caught Jay by surprise. You should have seen his face, when I read the headline to him. It was a study.
-----
"Swiss bunker becomes first zero star hotel. A former nuclear bunker several yards underground costs between $9 and $13 per night." Added bonus: You'll glow in the dark after just one weekend.

I don't want to think about the virgin birth of a shark either. How could that be possible and moreover.....WHY??!!
Because they can, Judy.
I'm trying to figure out what sort of person thought the idea up!
Why don't you want to think about the virgin-birth shark? Are you afraid of sharks, virgins or birth? Or all three? What a mess you're in!
I don't think I want to stay in that bunker. If I am going to glow in the dark I need a reason and I can't think of one right now.
Zero star hotel...I just don't know what to say.
kenju: I have just recovered from learning, in Jurassic Park, that some species of frogs can change sex at will. Now, this! Where will it all end?
kay: It's a puzzlement, all right.
rinkly: I AM in a mess. Do I feel a poem coming on?
darlene: I haven't glowed in the dark in years.
karen: Well, at least it's cheap.
pro. in branson, how do they make a living with all the free milk?
Thanks for the laugh!
Wonder if the sisters could start one of those rings?
"it'll be over soon, and I can stop obsessing."
Bwa ha ha ha ha.
As if. You'll find something new to obsess about. It runs in the family.
patsy: And surrounded by all those good Christian family-types. snrk.
dogwalkmusings: You're welcome.
sister-three: Could you live on $2.00 per day?
kell: Speaketh the daughter.
