Yes, Betty, we lost a great comedian when George Carlin passed away.
I loved his Al Sleet the hippy dippy weatherman, but the routine I liked best was the one about our "Stuff". When you go on vacation you take some of your stuff, but not ALL of your stuff. While you're on vacation, if you take a side trip you take some of THAT stuff, but not all of that stuff.....
He really was clever. I was not his biggest fan during the period when he thought he needed to use every dirty word in the book, but if you could overlook that, he was still funny. Actually, even he figured out in later years that he was funnier when he skipped the four letter words and just told the really great material he wrote.....
Ditto the above. This man made me laugh out loud. Not only his renditions were funny, but his EXPRESSIONS were priceless. Yes, RIP, George, you'll be missed.
This blog used to be called "Old Dog, New Trick", but it doesn't seem to fit, somehow. Oh, I'm still old, but I learned this new trick (blogging) years ago, so it's an old trick, now. Anyway, I love to read, watch movies, blog, travel whenever possible and gamble (slots). I tend to think everyone is entitled to my opionion, so you'll read a lot of that here. Feel free to disagree, nicely.
