Hillary's Having Problems

Hillary Clinton is having some big problems. She's losing ground, rapidly. Sorry Dirk, but you know it's true. She lost Maine today, and will probably lose D.C., Maryland andmaybe Virginia. And, it remains to be seen if she can win Texas. Now, she has fired her Campaign Manager. That may not be wise, considering the lady is Hispanic, and Hillary badly needs the Hispanic vote.

She may still be slightly ahead of Obama, because of the Super Delegates, but I suspect that they will run like rabbits if she loses the popular vote. They do not want to decide who will be the candidate.

What is the purpose of having Super Delegates, anyway? Why do they have so much power? I would think that they would simply vote with the other delegates from their states, bowing to the wishes of their constituents. But, apparently, that is not the case.

All I know is I'd just as soon not have a brokered convention.

More on this later. I have the flu or a bad cold or something, and am not feeling very coherent
at the moment.

Hillary's problem is that she has a hard ceiling at 50%. She has never been able to break out and appeal to new voters or change the minds of the people who didn't like her to begin with.

It probably isn't fair, given the really bad press she gets, but it's the reality of the situation.

Of course there's also that lack of integrity problem she seems to have too. ;-)

Did Jay give you his cold? Feel better soon.

kell: Why, yes. Yes he did. He is nothing if not generous. I know he didn't give it to me on purpose because he can't possibly have wanted to listen to me cough and bitch and moan day and night.

Wow, that cold is going around. It nailed me right before I got on the plane for Calif. But, not before I could give it to the hubster. Hope you are feeling better.

Not a fan of Hillary, or the Super Delegates. Neither make much sense to me at the moment.

Hope you're feeling better, Betty.

Hillary's definitely hurting, and I don't think she's making very sound decisions right now. Firing her Campaign Manager...not wise.

Sorry you're under the weather Betty...feel better fast....

Betty, are you okay?

It's hard to be coherent about an incoherent Presidential race, Betty, even without that awful cold. I do hopy you are feeling better by now. Annie

You were right about Maryland and D.C. and, look at Virginia. A huge win for Obama. I feel the possibility of a female president slipping away rapidly. Maybe next time. Nancy Pelosi?

Obama has created all this furor over brokered conventions which has never been an issue in any single election until this one.

He is such a whiner.

Don't count Hillary out yet.
