I'm better, but not yet 100%.
If you haven't had this flu, you're lucky. It is every flu you've ever had, all at once. It's head to toe flu. Headache, sore throat, respiratory, intestinal, and you'll think you're coughing up your toenails.
It is a steady progression. Symptoms build daily, like some grand symphony, until it reaches a crescendo of agony. I slept sitting up all one night, because lying down, my respiration kept me awake with a cacophony of squeaks, wheezes and whistles.
When you finally begin to get better, it happens a little at a time. You don't just wake up one morning, take a deep breath, and say, "Aaaaahhh. I'm well." No, you take a small, tentative breath, cough, and say, "I think I feel a little better."
So, today, I think I'm on the mend. Maybe I'll even be able to think of something to talk about other than my poor, sick self in a few more days.
Until then...............

That was very dramatic. ;-)
Take time, take care we don't mind waiting.
glad you are a little better.
Feel better. I think a lot of rest helps.
Take care of yourself. I understand relapses come easily with this strain!
I just dropped back by to see if you were feeling better and I am so happy to see that maybe you are. It's hard to tell sometimes, I know. You feel better when you first wake up but then realize you're not really well yet. Take good care. I hope someone is making you some chicken soup.
I hope you feel better soon sweety.
Hang on in there Betty!
Hey, these flu things take time Betty. The priority is that you feel better....all the way. I have several friends who are in the same boat as you...and they are just as sick of it as you are. Just continue to feel better....we'll be here...
I love the way you described it. Lordy, it's too true!
Yes, Betty, as Joy said, quite a few people have this flu.
I have heard that the vaccine that they used in the Fall was not formulated for exactly the strain of Flu we are experiencing now.
I had this last year and I was so sick the first day I was afraid I was going to die and by the third day I was afraid I WASN'T going to die......
I'm so osrry that you're sick. Feel better soon.
Whatever you do, just don't cough on the blog... *Steps away slowly*
Hope you feel better soon!
Feel better soon, Betty.
I hope you feel better soon!
You should try 'man-flu'. ;-)
Get well soon.
Betty, I took the flu shot, but now they say..wrong flu. I was sick the entire month of Nov.
I can see that this was quite a while ago, but knowing that damned flu and how it hangs on... well, I just hope you are feeling better by now. That is one nasty bug.
