Thinkin' All The Time

My thanks to Susan for the "Thinking Blogger" award. There are some who would say that I don't think at all - just open my mouth and let the words spill out willy-nilly. Same for my blog, just put my hands on the keyboard and they start typing as though they have a life of their own. NOT TRUE! As Susan has so skillfully figured out, my blogs are so carefully crafted and though out that some days they make my head hurt! In fact, it's beginning to hurt right now, so I'll just shut up and get on with my own choices for this award, in no particular order. They are all equally interesting to me, so I hope you will all enjoy them, too.

1. Newt at Newt's Musings. She is young enough to be my daugher, and, indeed, she seems to be a lot like my daughter. So, it's not surprising that I would enjoy her blog. She's a person with varied interests, and her photos of her dogs will make you go, "Awwwwwwwww" every time. Keep up the good work, Newt.

2. Peggy at Day to Day Life of a Very Lazy Gardner. Peggy also has varied interests, but I'm drawn to her blogs about her home and family in Scotland, and the beautiful photos she takes. Check her out.

3. Hillbilly Mansion, the hilarious life of a mother, wife and teacher somewhere in Missouri. Every day, some aspect of her life tries to beat her down, but she always manages to come out on top because, you know, it's all about HER.

4. Dogwalk Musings. At last, someone approximately my age. Mari's blog is a very interesting read. She has a natural curiosity about a lot of things, and has some down to earth opinions about the world around her.

5. Big John, blogging from England. I am always interested in his take on the world in general and he gives me a good laugh a lot of the time. He's not shy, folks. He has his own view of the Royals and the war in Iraq, and he tells wonderful stories about his life during WWII in London. It's a fascinating read.

So, there they are. It was a difficult choice, because I love reading several blogs, and each one is unique. If you are not on this list, it doesn't mean I don't like you. Arggggggghhhh. I hate having to choose only five among so many wonderful blogs.

Here are the rules, in case you wand to give this award to your favorites.

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).

Thanks, Betty! This is almost as cool as your comment that the ON THE ROAD beggar would probably rape and kill me if I offered him $10 for his life story! ;)

I certainly hope you're not psychic.

Pass along my congratulations to the Duggars. Perhaps they can singlehandedly help Arkansas gain an extra seat in the House.

Hi, Millie, and welcome. I'm going to visit your blog, too.

Sister 3: What can I say? Thanks you so much, but, I'll have to decline. We're not allowed to have pets at my apartment complex -not live ones, anyway. Too bad. lol

Hi Betty, You are opening a whole new world for me with all these blogs.

We have our own Irish Blog Awards here but I never heard of the "Thinking Blogger" award before.
