She's ba-a-a-a-a-a-ck.

Well, that was an interesting Thanksgiving.

Jay and I went to Kell and Al's for the holiday and the first two days were great. We arrived on Monday, had a great day Tuesday, and then, during the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, Jay got sick. Jay NEVER gets sick. NEVER. He's like a mighty oak, but he was felled by a stomach virus. It lasted only about 24 hours.

Then, Thanksgiving day, everyone was fine and we had a wonderful turkey dinner, shared by some friends.

Friday afternoon, I had a chill. By bedtime, I was deep in the throes, or should I say "throw-ups" of the virus. About the third or fourth time I arose from my bed of pain and sprinted to the bathroom, Jay woke up. Bless him. He stayed up with me and literally mopped up after me.

Saturday, I stayed upstairs in the recliner in K&A's bedroom, watching tv, sipping Gatorade, dozing and nibbling crackers. By bedtime Saturday night, I was over the worst of it, but weak.

Sunday night, Al started having chills. Same song, third verse. When we left this morning, he was on the couch. He only thought he was going to be able to go to work. He never made it out the door.

So, that was our holiday. How was yours? We did manage to have some fun, in between bouts of stomach virus. Kell and I went to the movies Tuesday afternoon, and saw "The Queen." Helen Mirren was just fantastick as Her Magesty. Everyone was wonderful in this movie.

Jay and Kell and Al did a lot of running around, while they were all well. It was kind of like running out between rain storms, then running back inside when the heavens opened up again. Strange. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Kell won't come own with this awful virus.

Anyway, we're back, and I'm going to bed now. Nite-nite.

By the way, Jay's back in the will.

Boy, when it rains it pours. So sorry to hear that virus ran through all of you for your holiday visit. It sounds like you all made the most of it considering. Thank God it only lasted 24 hours. Maybe Kell will luck-out. Get some rest, Betty. Nite-nite....

Around here it's a cold/flu bug that's going around. I guess it's better than the stomach bug but not by much and it lasts longer.

Sorry your holiday went sour, but at least you had your family around you, even if they did "share the misery"

Alright, this is going to sound horrible but there is a bright side to getting sick. You guys couldn't possibly have gained weight from the Thanksgiving feast.

Ok, I know, I'm out of the will............

Best wishes Betty for a complete back-to-normal soon. It's no fun being sick so I hope you can sleep deeply and long and get through it.

I wondered where you'd gone. Now I know.

"Jay's back in the will"... LOL!

So glad you're back! And I'm so sorry 3 of 4 of you were ill. Yes, let's hope Kell is using her Purell hand sanitizer, the Lysol spray and a good old fashioned face mask to keep the bugs away.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to you!

Sounds like you had a touch of the 'turkey trots'. Take it easy and get well soon.

Thank you all for your good wishes. I'm back to 100% now, and meaner than ever.

That's just a crime- having a stomach bug on and/or around Thanksgiving! I'm glad you're feeling better though. And I love that Jay "mopped" up after you. What a good kid.

Tink, yes he is a good guy. Kelley looked after me all the next day, but Jay took the overnight (messy) shift, bless him.
