Forty-One More Questions

1. Christmas tree: pine or cedar?
Cedar. Smells soooooo gooooood.

2. Name two dumb things you did as a kid.
Went outside barefoot and stepped on a wasp. OUCH! And, I once backed out of the garage and took part of the door with me. Retribution was swift.

3. What foods did your mom used to make that you will never, ever cook.
Brains and eggs. Daddy loved them.

4. Describe the place you go to in your head when you need to calm down.
My happy place is a small house on the west coast, somewhere around Monterey, CA, a place I could never afford in reality. But, it overlooks the Pacific. I can just see it now......

5. Have you ever seen a ghost, or something you can't explain?
Yes, several times.

6. If money and image didn't matter, what would you do for a living?
Write and paint.

7. Did you ever fall off a horse and get right back on?
I've only been on one horse, and it was so old and swaybacked, I'm surprised it didn't expire right out from under me. Never got on another one.

8. What name did you call a sibling that was sure to start a fight?
No siblings, but I had a cousin I could always enrage by calling him Georgie Porgie.

9. Describe the events surrounding your first alcoholic drink.
Daddy took Thursday afternoons off, and liked to have a beer with lunch. I finally nagged him into giving me a sip. He and mother regaled their friends with the story about the face I made for years.

11. Do you have a deep, dark, secret?
Not particularly. I'm pretty much an open book.

12. Would you ever shoot a deer?
No. I wouldn't ever kill a deer.

13. Do you return money if you get too much change?
Yes, I'm convinced a nice policeman would be waiting for me when I got home if I didn't.

14. What puzzles you?
Why people abuse children.

15. How do/did you act toward a person you have/had a crush on?
Got tongue-tied. Couldn't talk to him at all.

16. What makes you cry?
Anything that hurts my kids or makes them unhappy.

17. What's the best bargain you ever bought at a yard sale?
I don't do yard sales. I can't bargain to save my life.

18. How much wood can a woodchuck chuck?
Which woodchuck are you referring to? And, how would I know?

19. If nobody is watching, would you run a stop sign?

Sometimes I think I'm already there.

21. What material possession do you value most?
Pictures of family, books.

23. Do you read a book more than once?
Yes. If I really liked it, I can read one over and over.

24. What is the greatest problem with today's society?

25. How old were you when you first touched somebody else's hoohah?
Probably 10 or 11. We were playing "doctor".

26. Would you ever skydive?
Not on purpose.

"When I Need Love" - Leo Sayers, "Theme From A Summer Place", and "For The Good Times". Why do you think?

28. Would you ever have plastic surgery?
Nope. I earned these wrinkles and this gray hair.

29. Does bigfoot/sasquatch/yehti exist?
Yes. And, so does the Loch Ness Monster.

30. Are you a follower or a leader?
Follower, most of the time, until I lose patience, and take over.

31. What's the worst thing you did when you were a kid?
Broke a neighbor's car windshield.

32. List three jobs you would never want to do.
Standing in six inches of water, gutting a chicken. Jr. or Sr. High School Teacher. I don't know how they do it. Nurse. They get no respect.

33. Coke or Pepsi?
Diet Pepsi.

34. Where would you live if you could move your family, friends, and job there?
England - the Cotswolds.

36. What kind of interpersonal interaction repulses you?
Being called "Honey" by clerks or waitpersons. On the other hand, it didn't bother me a bit to be called "Luv" by cab drivers in England and Scotland.

Pucker up and cry.

My dad loved brains and eggs, too. Sometimes he put poke greens in with the brains and eggs which made the concoction such a lovely color.....
