Some days I just hate my computer. This was one of them. Most of the time, I just cruise along, typing away, entering, backspacing, paging up, paging down, you know, computing! Then some days, Google and Microsoft and Yahoo get together, behind my back, and decide to try and drive me crazy. HAhahahaha! Better machines than you have defeated me! One time a card sorter went berserk after I gave it a command and started spitting cards all over the room. But, did I cave in? I did not. I went home.
After that day, my boss transferred me to the University farm, where there wasn't anything I could break. I spent my days feeding beef livers into a blender so my boss could do tests on them. My boss knew that a good employer finds the task that fits the intellect of the employee, thus insuring that the employee doesn't fail.
But, I digress.
So, there I was yesterday, reading blogs on Google Reader, happy as a clam, when I saw a message at the top of the screen saying, "You arent signed in to Google Reader Sign In". I was pretty sure this message was bogus, because I was, well, IN Google Reader, reading blogs. However, I was also pretty sure that the computer was smarter than I was, so I clicked on "Sign In" and the sign in box came up and I entered my e-mail and password and clicked the "Remember me" box. Then, I went back to Google Reader and called up another blog, and there, at the top of the page, was that dratted message again!
Well, I just got out of Google Reader and started over. I went to my bookmarks, clicked on blogs, and THEY WEREN'T THERE! I clicked on "Refresh". Sometimes that works. But, no. Nothing helped.
Naturally, I did what I always do when I don't know what else to do. I hollered for Jay. I told him that all my blogs were gone, except strangely enough, my own. Go figure. I said some pretty harsh things about Google, Yahoo, Microsoft and threw in a few ugly thoughts about Bill Gates and his parentage.
I was just getting on a roll when Jay called to me, "Mom? Did you know that you typed in the wrong e-mail address?"
Never mind.
Stay tuned.
