On really cold nights, nothing tastes better or warms me up like a bowl of chili. That's what I had tonight. And, I always like a slice of rye bread and butter with it. The problem is, I haven't been able to find a good loaf of rye bread since Hostess sold all its recipes to someone else, I forget who. Whoever they are, they are taking their sweet time bringing back the promised Twinkies and Hostess chocolate cupcakes. I don't know if they plan to bring back their rye bread, but I sure hope they do.
I have tried every rye bread on the shelves in this town, and nothing has begun to match the Hostess brand Beefeater Rye.
Well, I realize nothing lasts forever, but would it hurt them to bring back my favorite rye bread?
Stay tuned.

To Mr. Fixit's delight, we have Hostess Twinkies here in SC. We also have the chocolate ones and the orange flavored ones. My favorites were the marshmallow covered Snowballs. I loved that rubbery stuff.
I've never seen the bread products.
The only good thing about Rye bread is it helps you go the toilet!
I'm not a rye bread eater but my dad used to like Beefeater Rye. That means it was around for a long time.
We have them here in NJ, but the new Twinkies don't taste the same. Maybe they are trying to make them healthy?
