The Battle Rages

Nothing much to report on my struggles with the DOG.  So far this week, though, I have gotten my paper three days in a row, so I'm beginning to have a flicker of hope.

Yesterday, my paper didn't arrive until sometime between 5 and 6 a.m., and the District Manager had told me that she would monitor the situation and if my paper didn't come, she would leave one for me.  So, I assume that's what happened yesterday, as the carrier, if she shows up, is usually here shortly after 3 a.m.
This morning, the paper was there when I looked at 4 a.m.  New carrier?  I don't know.

I have discovered one thing, though.  Having to get up a couple of times in the middle of the night to pee has its benefits.  It allows me to check and see if the paper is there.  Who knew?

Stay tuned.

Peeing with purpose! Love it!

Can you maybe set up some kind of gambling game with the district manager to make it interesting, possibly profitable?

I missed the paper one day this week...said they had no one to bring me one. They said they gave me credit for the one day.

Chlost: It speaks to my idea of the rightness of things. lol

Olga: I don't want to distract her. I have a feeling it would be pretty easy.

Sister-Three: That sounds familiar. Hope you aren't going to have the same problem.

Sounds good! Maybe you have it fixed!

I've always been amused by seeing paper delivery boys in American movies throwing newspapers as they ride their bikes along a street. Here in the UK most delivery boys (or girls) push the papers through the letter box in our street doors. Much safer that way. :-)

Margie: Nope, it's not fixed yet. But, I have a plan.

Big John: Of course, in an apartment, we have to go to the mail kiosk to get our mail, so no mail slots. I sure wish we had some kind of box by the apartment door that the carrier could put in the box and lock it. Of course, if the carrier is the culprit, all bets are off. As I told Margie, though, I have a plan.
