She's Trying to Kill Me

This is how the Mother's Day card from my daughter, Kell, was addressed. I can tell you it really gave my heart a jolt.

All kinds of thoughts ran through what is left of my mind, the first one being, "She's too old." Then the next thought was "I'M too old. This must be a joke (please, God). All those times I complained that my children wouldn't give me grandchildren until I was in a wheelchair, living at Shady Pines Rest Home, were a JOKE! I didn't mean it.

Then, I read the back, and decided that she is trying to kill me. You shouldn't tease old people this way. When I finally calmed down, I opened the card, and saw that it was from..............

Cosette! My little grandpuppy.

I should be all right in a couple of days.

Stay tuned.

Hello Betty! Very funny and thankfully just a joke. Thank you for your kind words for my Dad. Always nice to meet another Arkansas gal.

I love when my kids show their sense of humor. What I really love though is the dog's name. I once had a Cosette. She was a blond cocker spaniel and was a gift from a boyfriend on my 16th birthday.
